Presentations Given at October Board Work Session
Two presentations were given at the October 5, 2015 Board of Education Work Session. The first presentation provides the board and community with an overall summary of the district goals for the upcoming school year. The second presentation is a summary budget for the work on facility needs within the district as the board considers the possibility of a modest Permanent Improvement levy/initiative.

SaferOH Now Used by District as Tipline
Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools has begun using a new safety resource, SaferOH, for its anonymous tip line that is free of charge. The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Public Safety established this service in response to Governor Kasich's comprehensive school safety plan. The tip line will accept both calls and texts 24 hours a day for registered schools.  
Chagrin Falls Schools Begin New School Year with All-Staff Meeting, Recognitions, and Keynote Speaker
Chagrin Falls Schools began the 2015-16 school year with an all-staff meeting on August 14 in the Performing Arts Center.  After a delicious breakfast was served by our Food Services Department, the morning continued with recognition of staff, 20 year service award recipients, announcement of Teacher and Staff Member of the Year, an inspirational keynote speaker, and the unveiling of the 2015-16 school year theme: RealizeU. 
Chagrin Falls Schools' Teacher and Staff Member of the Year Announced
Chagrin Falls Exempted Village schools announced its Teacher of the Year and Staff Employee of the Year during its opening staff meeting August 14. This year’s outstanding teacher is Gurney Elementary’s Stephanie Malley. The outstanding staff member for 2015 is Cindy Matejcik. 
Chagrin Falls Schools Salutes Employees for 20 Years of Service to District
At the opening meeting of all staff on August 14, 2015 Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools honored nine employees who are celebrating their 20th anniversaries with the district. The dedicated staff members are Ed Boehnlein, Mark Iammarino, Jill Koval, Jeanne Nicholson, Paul Perrine, Carolyn Petite, Carol Ripley, Lisa Salyers, and Todd Thombs. The employees were treated to a luncheon at the Burntwood Tavern.
