Chagrin Falls High School Students Recognized in Ohio Governor's Art Show

Four Chagrin Falls High School students have been selected for the prestigious Ohio Governor’s Art Show, with Owen Stull earning a spot among the Top 25 artists in the state. The selected works represent a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, reflecting the creativity and individuality of each student artist. From ceramics to charcoal, metalwork to digital design, the group showcases the depth and diversity of artistic expression cultivated at Chagrin Falls High School.

Katherine Rosner, grade 11, was recognized for Imperial Teapot, a detailed stoneware piece featuring intricate sculptural elements and glaze work.

Owen Stull, grade 12, received Top 25 honors for Sahlo Folina, a vibrant and imaginative digital illustration transferred onto a wooden skateboard deck using acrylic techniques.

Caleb Zelch, grade 12, was selected for Phycodurus eques, a complex mixed-media metalwork piece incorporating brass, acid etching, patina, and opal.

Ari Zimmerman, grade 12, earned recognition for Silas: The Emergence of Hope, a striking white charcoal portrait on black paper that captures both technical skill and emotional depth.

Together, these works highlight not only technical skill, but also the willingness of students to explore a variety of materials and creative processes.

For Owen Stull, being named to the Top 25 is both an honor and a reflection of his artistic growth over time. After earning acceptance into the 2025 Ohio Governor’s Art Show, this year’s recognition highlights his continued development and creativity.

The Ohio Governor’s Art Show is one of the most competitive student art exhibitions in the state, featuring work selected from thousands of submissions.

“We are incredibly proud of these students and the way they represent Chagrin Falls,” said Amanda Rassi. “Their work demonstrates not only talent, but creativity, perseverance, and a willingness to explore new ideas.”

This year’s selections underscore the importance of providing students with opportunities to experiment across mediums and develop their artistic voice.

As these students are recognized at the state level, their work serves as a powerful example of how creativity, skill, and exploration come together to create meaningful learning experiences.
