Chagrin Falls Schools Welcomes New Teacher and Announces New Roles

NEW TEACHERS

Nina Woofter, third-grade teacher at Gurney Elementary School
Woofter joins Chagrin Falls Schools with 10 years of elementary teaching experience, most recently serving as a second-grade teacher at Noble Elementary in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District. She previously spent nine years at Village Prep Willard in Cleveland, where she taught kindergarten and second grade and served in several leadership roles, including second-grade team lead, teacher mentor and academic domain coach. Woofter earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Cleveland State University and an associate degree in early childhood education from Cuyahoga Community College. She has also completed professional development in dyslexia and Ohio’s Science of Reading.

Miranda O’Keeffe, Spanish teacher at Chagrin Falls Intermediate School
O’Keeffe joins Chagrin Falls Schools from Roxboro Middle School, where she taught Spanish to students in grades six through eight, including high school credit Spanish. She previously worked at Mentor High School as a building substitute teacher and completed her Spanish student teaching at South High School. O’Keeffe earned a master’s degree in secondary education from Grand Canyon University and a bachelor’s degree in communication from Notre Dame College. She holds a five-year professional P-12 Spanish teaching license.
