Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools has earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting awarded by GFOA. Receiving the honor represents a significant accomplishment for a government entity and its management.

The district’s financial report was reviewed by an impartial panel and determined to meet the program’s high standards. The review includes evaluating whether the report demonstrates a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” and clearly communicates the district’s financial story to taxpayers and other users of the report.

In conjunction with the Certificate of Achievement, GFOA also presents an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement to the individual or department primarily responsible for preparing the award-winning report.

“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible financial management, transparency and providing our community with clear and comprehensive information about the district’s finances,” said Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Penczarski. “We are grateful to Treasurer Ashley Brudno and our treasurer’s office for the expertise and attention to detail that went into earning this distinction.”
