Students are creating their own goods and services to “sell” while learning about pricing, marketing, and entrepreneurship. As part of the experience, two second grade classes are collaborating with Chagrin Falls High School Entrepreneurship students to develop slogans, price products, and design advertisements for their businesses.

As part of Kindness Week, Gurney students participated in Mix It Up at Lunch Day. 🧡🖤

Students were randomly assigned a lunch table, creating a simple opportunity to sit with someone new. With the help of our Service Learning Club, the cafeteria looked a little different and felt a little more connected.

Mix It Up at Lunch encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries to build bridges across differences and create a welcoming, connected school environment.

Sometimes a small step outside a comfort zone can lead to a new friendship. 💫

Some of our sixth grader recently visited Mr. Wise’s first grade class for a special reading of The Rainbow Fish followed by a colorful art project. This experience gave our sixth graders a chance to shine as peer leaders, while our first graders enjoyed learning alongside older students they look up to.

A big thank you to School Counselor Mrs. Schleup for bringing this partnership to life and creating such a meaningful learning moment for everyone involved. 🧡🖤✨
