Our 4th-grade ELA students stepped into the world of "The Tiger Rising" last week by whittling soap, just like one of the main characters, Rob. This favorite annual activity brings the story’s themes of friendship, belonging, and trust to life in a fun, hands-on way. Teachers thoughtfully craft lessons like this to help students to explore literature more deeply, build a stronger connection with the characters and enrich their learning experience.
